The Ghettomanias

Today I walked through Graftonstreet (again) and I’ve heard “The Ghettomanias” the first time.
Great guys. One drummer, three guitarplayers and they alternated with singing the songs.

And the guys really looked like from the 80s. Brilliant.
The electronic guitar player looked like he would have been jumped out of the film “Grease”. The player of the acoustic guitar (with amplifier) looked like Mike Krueger in his movies of 1982 or so. The drummer looked more like a real maniac and was absolutely enthusiastic – hilarious. And the acoustic guitar player (without amplifier) looked more like a wellknown young longhair dosser who sits allways in my hometown (Hof, Bavaria) in the pedestrians walk.

But these maniacs where able to play very cool music from the decade where they seemed to be just minutes before.
And (I was delighted) one of the first songs they played was “Eleanor Rigby” from Joan Baez.

Absolutely great.
These fellas really deserved the fiver I gave them.

The drummer is named James. I met him yesterday night being in a Club.
And he’s a real funny maniac.
