Nomen est Omen?

Met an Irish girl and a fella a while ago.
Her name is “Edel”, his is “Mark”.

After a few seconds I realised that name and told her what this word means in German: “Edel” means something like “noble”, “precious”, “ecspecial”.

But then I also realised that the guy’s name was also a word in German, but I could only tell him:
Sorry Mark, but we normally use your name just for “bone marrow” … ;-/
