Prezels and Bikes in Dublin
Just two short announcements for people living in Dublin:
1. For everyone who’s looking for a reasonable priced bike in Dublin:
At the flea market of the Food Co-op (last Sun every month) two streets behind St. Patricks cathedral there is also a bike seller. He had second hand bikes between 65-120€. He’s the owner of Mc Cormacks Cycle Centre in 31A Lower Dorset Street, D1, tel 01 8366171, Mon-Sat 10-5pm (afaik). They also repaired a terribly bend wheel for a quite good price for a friend of ours.
Finding the shop coming from Bolton Street is weird as the house numbers are quite random and 31A is further North than expected.
2. For all the lovers and adorers of German Prezels, there is a German Lady here who’s selling Prezels. You’d see her on some markets, but you can order as well, tel 085 9356691 or andreafahrmeyer (at) web (dot) de. She also had the idea of dipping Prezels in warm chocolate. Sounds really really weird but it actually tastes quite good. (Of course then she doesn’t cover it the thing with salt before. I liked it with molten Toblerone most.)

Fahrräder in Dublin zu einem fairen Preis bei der Adresse oben (ziemlich weit von Bolton Street aus kommend, Hausnummern irritieren sehr). Der repariert auch schreckliche Achter die irgendwelche Dumpfbacken hineintreten. Und er ist auch auf dem sehr netten Flohmarkt der Food Co-op (jeden letzten So im Monat, ziemlich versteckt westsüdwest von St. Patrick Cathedral).
Brezeln in Dublin gibt es bei Andrea Fahrmeyer. Als Laugenbrezeln, mit Käse, mit Speck und neue Kreationen auch mit Zucker und Zimt (was die Iren angeblich sehr mögen) und in warme Schokolade gedippt. Toblerone kann ich sehr empfehlen :-)
