Mike

Mike Jaasma is one of our two postdocs here. Means he has still his Doctor in Bioengineering made in the US, as far as I know.

Here in the RCSI he’s building up a bioreactor with the help of Niamh.

He’s one of the few people here using their ancient German knowledge a little bit. Means two or three sentences a day :o)
But he is not terrible bad and his spoken language is ok (it’s better than Oran’s but still not as good as Elise’s). There’s of course a big lack of vocabulary and he also lacks practice. I should increase his practice.

He’s related over two edges with Mata Hari, but he was also unable to explain me the exactly relation grade. He’s a relative to her because he’s in the second generation an Dutch emigrate – and Mata Hari was semi-Dutch, too.
(Her storry seems to be very complicated better if you click the link for further information.)

But nevertheless Mike is a nice guy with whom approximately everyone in the world should be able to cope with. I guess he’s the dream of all women, I don’t know it exactly but I could imagine.
The smart American postdoc of the anatomy :o)
You girls reading this would like him really, if I wouldn’t place scary pictures of him at the Internet :o)

Fortunately I also found a normal picture of him with our reasearch group.

He’s really a lovely fella and I like him quite good.
He seems to swear never during non-working research (unlike me).
And even if he’s in a bad mood once you might not even notice it because he still looks not really sad.
